3.5" claddagh jewelry box.

There are three beautiful jewellery box sizes to choose from. Each are embossed on all sides and lid with a Celtic design.  The top of the box can be plain or you can have it with the Claddagh insignia. The interior is lined with red felt with a compartment for rings/earrings and other precious items.

The design is that of the Claddagh taken from the famous love symbol designed in the town of Claddagh, Co. Galway by Richard Joyce back in the year 1689. The design is often used for wedding rings as it is based on the ring that Richard made for his bride to be. The symbolisms are "hands for friendship", "heart for love" and "crown for loyalty".

The perfect gift for that someone special in your life.

Claddagh

The Claddagh is probably the most well known Irish symbol. The hands represent friendship, the crown represents loyalty, and the heart, of course, love . As legend goes, an Irish sailor sold into slavery cherished the memory of his sweetheart through his trials and tribulations. Upon his return to Galway after a number of years, he gave her a handmade Claddagh ring as a symbol of his dedication- "With these hands I give you my heart, and I crown it with my love".
