Wed, Apr 3 – US to DUBLIN Depart the US for your non-stop overnight flight to Ireland.

Thur, Apr 4 - DUBLIN ARRIVAL & ENNIS Land at Dublin Airport, complete customs and immigration formalities before meeting your CIE Tours driver/guide, who will welcome you to Ireland. Next, take an orientation drive around Dublin city center. Dublin is one of the liveliest capitals in Europe but there are plenty of historical places also. See the main thoroughfares of O’Connell Street and Nassau Street, the shopping streets and some lovely public parks. Leave Dublin and travel west through Kilbeggan to Ennis. Upon arrival transfer to your nearby hotel, check in and settle into you room. In the evening, join your fellow travelers for dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Fri, Apr 5 - BUNRATTY FOLK PARK Today, visit the Bunratty Folk Park, which comprises a collection of farmhouses from different regions of Ireland. Also, see a 19th century village street with a pub, school, general store and many other buildings where traditional lifestyles and crafts are demonstrated. Next, enjoy afternoon tea at the luxurious Dromoland Castle Hotel. Then enjoy some free time to relax or freshen up before tonight’s festivities. This evening, join in the fun and feasting at Bunratty or Knappogue Castle. Your medieval-style banquet is served in the Great Hall of the 15th century castle.

Sat, Apr 6 - CLIFFS OF MOHER & KILLARNEY Leaving Ennis, drive along the coast of scenic County Clare to visit the Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland’s most beloved, natural landmarks. See magical vistas, overlooking the shimmering Atlantic Ocean along with Ireland’s Western coastline. Next, take a short ferry ride across the River Shannon Estuary. Continue to Killarney, where you will check into your hotel for dinner and your overnight stay.

Sun, Apr 7—RING OF KERRY & SHEEPDOG TRIALS Set off to explore the Ring of Kerry, which consist of over a 100 miles of marvelous scenery. See some of Ireland’s highest peaks on one side of the road and a coastline scattered with golden beaches and rocky headlands on the other. There will also be plenty of stops to take-in the scenery and to snap photos. Also, visit a local farm, where you will get the opportunity to meet an Irish farmer and to see some sheepdogs work in their natural environment. Continue on to visit Skellig Experience, which describes the life of early monks who led austere lives on the nearby islands. Return to Killarney for a free evening.

O’MEARA’S TOUR OF IRELAND ~ ITINERARY
Mon, Apr 8 - MUCKROSS HOUSE & GARDENS This morning, visit the Muckross House, an elegant 19th century mansion set beside the tranquil Muckross Lake. A guided tour will fill you in on some local history and the family ties to the United States. Continue on to visit Bantry House, a charming, privately-owned mansion dating to the 1760s. It is set in on a hill above a scenic bay with magnificent Italian gardens and an eclectic collection of antiques and artifacts. Then travel to your hotel in Clonakilty and check in. There is a special dinner planned tonight at Inchydoney Hotel.

Tue, Apr 9 - INCHYDONEY AT LEISURE The entire day is free to use the amenities that your hotel offers such as the spa. You could also explore Clonakilty before an independent dinner. 


Wed, Apr 10 - GLENDALOUGH VISITOR CENTRE Departing Clonakilty, journey to County Wicklow so you can visit the 6th century monastic ruins of Glendalough. The visitor centre explains how St. Kevin founded this settlement at a time when Christianity was burgeoning throughout Ireland. Then motor a short distance to your hotel and check in for your overnight stay. You may wish to freshen up before dinner with your group.

Thur, Apr 11 - IRISH NATIONAL STUD & GARDENS After breakfast, visit the Irish National Stud, which will show you the history and current trends of horse-breeding in Ireland before viewing the magnificent horses. Then take a walk around the truly spectacular Japanese Gardens, an artistic representation of the "Life of Man" from cradle to grave. Continue on to visit Avoca Handweavers, to admire some of the beautifully handcrafted woollens and possibly grab a bite in their charming café offering the best in Irish cuisine. Your final stop will be to Fado Jewelry, where you can browse the fine selection of quality made Irish jewelry. The remainder of the day is at leisure in Wicklow. . Fri, Apr 12 - RETURN TO THE UNITED STATES Transfer to Dublin Airport to check in. Enjoy last minute shopping at the duty free stores before boarding our flight.
