Depart the US for your non-stop overnight flight to Ireland.

Thur, Apr 5 - DUBLIN, NEWGRANGE & BELFAST
Our CIE Tours driver will be at Dublin Airport to welcome us when we
land in Ireland. We’ll stop for breakfast at a nearby restaurant, and then
travel north to County Meath to the Boyne Valley Visitor Centre. Learn
about the nearby passage tombs of Newgrange and Knowth constructed
over 5,000 years ago. We’ll visit the actual tomb of Newgrange, which is
aligned to the mid-winter sunrise, so that the beam of the rising sun falls
directly into the chamber. Afterwards, we’ll drive to Drogheda to visit our
friends at Branigan Weavers, for a tour and demonstration. Then on to
Belfast and check into our hotel, where you’ll have time to freshen up
before a welcome drink followed by dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Fri, Apr 6 - BELFAST & TITANIC EXHIBITION
This morning, we take a guided tour of Belfast to see the Albert Memorial,
the Opera House and Crown Liquor Saloon. In Donegall Square, see the
imposing City Hall, completed in 1906. The richly decorated interior
contains stained glass portraying Belfast's principal industries. Then we’ll
visit Titanic Belfast, an award winning exhibition focused on the ill-fated
ship, from her conception in Belfast to her tragic end. The remainder of
the day is free to ramble and explore Belfast, and dine independently.

Sat, Apr 7 - GIANT’S CAUSEWAY & OLD BUSHMILLS DISTILLERY
Leaving Belfast, we travel northwards to visit the Giant’s Causeway, an
impressive area of hexagonal columns formed over 60 million years ago
by cooling lava, which has given rise to many legends. Afterwards, we
will visit Old Bushmills Distillery, which is Ireland's oldest whiskey
distillery. We’ll see how it’s made and then of course sample a wee drop!
We’ll continue on to the historic city of Derry where a local guide will lead
us on a walking tour to see the Guildhall, St. Columb’s Cathedral, the
Diamond and the 16th century walls. Then we’ll drive to Donegal, check
into our hotel and enjoy dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Sun, Apr 8 - SLIEVE LEAGUE CLIFFS & NANCY’S PUB
Today, we visit Slieve League Sea Cliffs, where the highest point reaches
1,972 feet making them the highest in Europe. The cliffs drop straight
down to the wild Atlantic below, and you will see marvelous vistas. Next,
set off to explore the breathtaking Ardara Peninsula, and stop for a drink
at Nancy’s award-winning pub. Then we return to Donegal, where the
rest of the day is free for individual pursuits.

Mon, Apr 9 - BELLEEK POTTERRY & DRUMCLIFFE
Leaving Donegal, we will stop for a visit to the Belleek Pottery Factory.
You’ll see how skilled craftspeople form and decorate clay, to produce
delicate porcelain masterpieces. Then, on to Sligo and Drumcliffe
Churchyard, where one of Ireland’s most renowned poets and writers,
W.B. Yeats, is laid to rest. Then on to Westport, County Mayo to check
into our hotel and enjoy dinner in the hotel restaurant. After dinner, we’ll
ramble to a few nearby pubs to hear some traditional Irish music.
